This collection of stories details the experiences, adventures and research of the author over many years. Focusing mainly, but not exclusively, on the Wide Bay district of south-eastern Queensland, the stories are factual and varied. They cover a time-frame ranging from the last Ice Age to the present-day. Aboriginal culture, pioneering hardships and challenges, infrastructure, construction, native and domestic animal behaviour, environmental features, interesting characters and personal milestones are just some of the topics covered in these chapters. Numerous historical and colourful photographs give a detailed and intimate glimpse into the lives, habits and locations of people, animals and natural beauty.
